And then we go to the Dynamic Down-Under Duo (*is stabbed for this*). New Zealand and Australia. Man. JESUS CHRIST. I was blown away on how you put them in here, and that you showed how they reacted to the atrocities that they've encountered. After all, why yes, they were in the war, and they fought very fucking BRAVELY, thank you very much. I love how they argue with England, how they depend on each other, and how America is oh so big brother about them. Its a little mention, but I loved the image of America and Australia talking about what they've seen. It was touching and wonderful. Oh man, write more on the hijinks of these two. Or these three. or the whole Anglophone family. Please.
Prussia. Mad, bad, and dangerous, and oh so proud of his brother; crazy and endearing (and sexy, wat) at the same time. I fucking love the fight scene he has with England: badass versus badass. I felt the world explode and remake itself in that scene. I love the fucking hand to hand combat. That trick with looking down and faking made me laugh so hard. And that France invented it. Oh Christ.
Russia gets a mention here because in that one single paragraph from Prussia you get a pretty good idea what Russia is fucking like. And it is fucking scary. Also love the inclusion of the encroaching Cold War, and how relations between him and America were better until. Well. There is hope now, but we'll see.
And now we reach England. HOLY FUCKING GOD. ENGLAND. I love how you write him as a 'parental' figure (he is so the DAD! And France is so the MUM!). He is BADASS and BRILLIANT and yes he is such and AWKWARD JERK in the whole of this, and I love, love that you portray the awkwardness of his relationship with America, the difficulty and issues of pride he has with him, and yet in the end, how he CARES for him so. He does know America, deep down inside he does, but he fights his instincts all the fucking way.
I think the one of the most powerful Crowning Moment of Heartwarming in all this is when he steps out to get France. That he goes out of limb to GET France. And you just imagine and feel what France felt then, seeing England there, standing there, here to rescue him. I teared up man, so so hard.
I love it when you write England as Papa!England; I think he's always like this, whatever the political situation is among him and his Commonwealth and colonies that had left. He'd always be the daddy silently fretting about how his kids are doing and doing the best job he can to hide it. He's a fucking softy deep inside; Himaruya said it anyway, that he's a romantic.
