Rating: R
Warnings: sex, blood, death, based on this poem put to music by Loreena McKennit (music is by her, the poem is not by her--because there are extra verses that she didn't include but I still really like it)

Fast strokes and then slower, slower, slower....fading entirely, picking up a delicate, piercing note. The vibrato caressed it, laced it out. He stroked again and went low. )

[[Notes:

I am not a citizen of England, Scotland, Wales or Ireland and I do not profess to know the extensive history of any of those countries. If I have offended anyone, I do apologize. I feel no ill will towards anyone from Great Britain and Ireland personally. I have family roots in both England and Ireland so this was just done as something of interest to me.

I also need to credit and high-five my friend [livejournal.com profile] katamanda because her England--especially her Imperial England--is directly used in this several times. As is her interpretation of Scotland and Wales.]]

Author/Artist: [livejournal.com profile] historyblitz, kept track of at [livejournal.com profile] historize
Character(s) or Pairing(s): Ireland, Scotland, Wales, England
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: very mild sexual implications
Summary: Someone on the kink meme requested "fem!Ireland sucking seductively on a lollipop". I got a kick out of this prompt, so I took it and did a short bit on it.

It's so short.

Well, I guess that’s because meetings in London are so dreadfully dull. )

Character(s) or Pairing(s): Ireland, Scotland, Wales, England, America, Denmark, Ancient Rome; Denmark/Ireland, implied Ireland/Scotland
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: language, violence, sexual implications (dub-con)
Summary: This is another bit I started some time ago and want to be inspired to somehow finish. I RP Ireland with my friend (she does Scotland and England) and I have come to really adore developing her character.

So not everything in this is explained really, especially her relationship with Scotland but that's coming later---I just wanted to write about Ireland, bits about her, the Vikings, Rome, England and coming to America.

Also, the use of Ireland's and Scotland's modern names during Ancient Rome's time is historically inaccurate. I am aware of that. I'm just using them until I decide if I want to mess around with the changing names business.

I'll bet you top him, don't you? )

Gah, I haven't been able to write anything the last couple months. Each time I get an idea and think I'm going to finally break out--I end up just trailing off and getting stuck again.

In my own defense, college/university this year is very stressful. I'm doing my final Senior Comp this year (which is a Big Deal and kind of necessary to graduate) so possibly once my comp is over, I will be able to write again. I feel so out of practice.

I want to write about Ireland being in America (Ireland/America for the hilarious). And the Vikings in Ireland (Denmark/Ireland for the win).

(I like Ireland! She's awesome!)

Rating: thematic R
Warnings: violence, war

This is a bit I've been holding onto for a long time because I couldn't figure out what to do with it. But sometimes I find that I get inspired after I post things publicly. I'm not sure why that is--I guess just the pressure of, "Hey, everyone can see this! Make it better!"

The topic was...the idea of a third World War--and given the current temperament of politics right now, I just very briefly alluded to it starting in the Middle East and spreading from there. That is not something I've finalized--which is why I kept references to it short because I haven't worked it all out yet--how it started or how it's going to end.

This is not going to be a long epic story because I probably would get lost in the details. This first bit is about 30 pages and if every bit ended up being around that long, that wouldn't surprise me.

In short, any comments or anything would be really appreciated. This is, again, a work-in-progress--so nothing is set in stone. Nothing is finished. I don't even have a title picked out.

I just write and work by myself and have no one to really bounce ideas off of.

EDIT: And my original intention to post--was too long, so I cut some of the last pages of part one off...and I guess I'll add them into part two.

Title: Stepping Stones
Author/Artist: [livejournal.com profile] historyblitz, kept track of at [livejournal.com profile] historize
Character(s) or Pairing(s): implied England/France, Canada and America (pre-revolution), and a mention of Scotland and Ireland
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: language, war and some suggestive dialog/situations
Summary: Just a fun piece--with darker undertones--but fun, about the French and Indian War and France discovering Canada and all four of them in London--and George III is boring.
Note: I needed a prompt because I was stuck on another bit I'm working on. [livejournal.com profile] twistedsheets10 gave me: Canada, America, England and France, happy family times. So, not all of it's happy but it's them.
